Grok is Definitely the Worst Paid AI and It is Worse than GPT 4o in 2024-2026

Grok had NEVER ever been better than GPT 4o throughout all the last two years. If you just want to pay $30 every month to get yourself an echo chamber, go for it. If you are a high school student want to do some research about how a chatbot AI before 2021 looks like, go for it.

- Grok's Thinking mode is fake and useless. Grok's Thinking is even worse than Grok's Fast. Especially last year, its Thinking mode would refuse any prompting and treating them as jailbreaking. This year, it is even worse, as it has decreased its context size. I know GPT 5 did serious downgrade, but its Thinking Mode is still useful. You can now import a 200-page PDF into GPT 5 and ask it to summarize that for you. But Grok is only getting worse.

- Grok's multimodal capability is still at the level with GPT 3.5 in 2023. If you tried its painting, you would find that Grok can never do the online learning. Its multimodal capability is very weak. For example, if you told GPT to search the latest Kamen Rider, and asked it to plot something based on that, GPT can make it. But if you asked Grok to do that, Grok could only turn the Image to the Text, and then turn the Text back to the Image. It is not serious multimodal. It is scamming. I know Grok Imagine can did a little, but its quality is nothing compared with GPT 5.

- Grok is just a search tool. Its chatbot is even worse than most of opensource package. I wish xAI can rent their GPU devices than rent their APIs to the SuperGrok users. How about that? Giving us more choices on Ollama models for the base models. You should avoid Grok Build. Because it will waste your time. Just like what I told some undergrad PC builders, do not waste your time on that, get yourself a real gaming OEM PC, a Mac, and NEVER waste your time on modifying System Appearance. You should save your time on practicing Leetcode. Wasting your time on an outdated device will not grow your brain. It will only erode your cortex and mix them with your CSF.
