My first desktop still works like new. I take good care of it, but there’s always things i dont know. What do the pros do to take extra special care of their rig

Discussion

I run a pretty simple, humble rig. I built it in 2020. Ryzen 5 2600x was very middle of the road or even low end cpu then so now its practically ancient. But it has never given me any real problems. I put my parts into a 2008 ATX tower i swiped from the parts bins at work.
The two old fans in it were dirty but after a cleaning they ran fine. The gpu has only been “upgraded” once from a radeon Vega 56 to a rtx 2060 and i put everything into a new case then.
Just this week i ordered a 4060ti and a whole set of 8 new case fans. I think when i put all that in ill replace the thermal paste and clean the heat sink out. But that cpu has not really ever had a problem that couldn’t easily be solved. I think it may have a couple years left in it if I’m lucky.
I dont run too many crazy demanding games. I keep it clean inside and out. I dont use it to watch pørn. I generally avoid downloading and installing anything unrelated to games. I try not to smoke near it. It seems to stay in pretty good working condition.
What small steps do you take to take extra care of your pc?
