Looking for advice on moving in possibly SoMA

Have been looking for housing for a really long time now but with housing prices going up significantly I recently found a nice modern condo deal at the SoMA grand. It sits right on mission. When I drove there it didn't seem very unsafe during the day. People I spoke to all said SoMA has gotten significantly better and is improving.

What is the consensus?
