Purchasing Question

Hi there,

I've read a bunch of guides and the buyer guide, I know this question has been beaten to death but I would love some perspective on a slightly unconventional choice I plan to make.

I want to get something that is interesting enough both for me and my 3.5 year old. I know dobs are the traditional reccomendation but given the logistics, busy lives and setup hassles I am considering getting a Seestar S30 pro instead. Looking into the dob, trying to get things adjusted between me and my toddler, etc seems like a big hassle, I want to be able to go out and get stuff done even when we have maybe 15-30 mins to run out to the backyard.

  1. Firstly I am assuming the seestar with an ipad for output should be a lot more interesting. We have close to zero screen time otherwise so he'll like that.
  2. Price point wise is there something better we shoule consider for let's say less than a $1,000. I eventually might upgrade to better stuff if and when we end up using this regularly.

Anything else I should know before pulling the trigger?
