My Telegram/WhatsApp capture workflow saves links, voice notes, and images into Obsidian Markdown
I built a self-hosted capture workflow for Obsidian.
Instead of manually moving links, screenshots, voice notes, and ideas into my vault, I can send them to Telegram or WhatsApp. The system processes them and saves Markdown files that are easy to browse later in Obsidian.
What it saves:
- links with AI summaries and categories
- voice notes with transcription
- images with AI descriptions
- notes added after URLs
- reminders
The stack is n8n, Groq, Firecrawl, yt-dlp, Telegram, WhatsApp, Markdown, and Obsidian.

I would love feedback from Obsidian users. What would make this more useful as a vault capture workflow?
