Hypothetical: if harry was at slithering don’t think Snape would be so abusive to him?

Imaging if harry got sorted in slithering, it would have lots of implications. But what about Snape ?
Would he be taking points out of his own house all the time just to abuse harry? Or would he see harry in a different light? Or would he be even more abusive because he would have a lot more power over him? I am genuinely curious about your opinion
