How would you fix Phase 4 of the MCU?
Phase 4 is considered the weakest of all the MCU's phases. Mainly because it tried doing too much, by introducing too many new characters, concepts, and had a lot of mid to downright bad projects. So in your opinion, how would you fix it?
I feel like the first thing is to make it span over 3 years instead of two. Along with of course adding an Avengers movie to wrap up the phase nicely. I also want around 6 projects each year, so there would be 18. I know it's still as much as the original phase 4, but it really seems like people have more of an issue with just the amount of bad projects instead of the amount, like 2025 had 8 projects (one less than 2021 and 2022) and you saw no one complaining.
Also I want to cut out a lot of the shows/movies that just don't feel important. With hindsight in mind, I feel pretty confident saying Eternals, She-Hulk, and Thor 4 didn't really matter to the MCU, or at least the Love and Thunder version of the movie.

Captain America: Brave New World - (Movie)
WandaVision - (Series - 9 Episodes)
Black Widow - (Series - 7 Episodes)
Shang-Chi: Legend of the Ten Rings - (Movie)
Hawkeye - (Series - 8 Episodes)
Spider-man: Homefront - (Movie)
Captain America: Brave New World
Basically if Falcon and the Winter Soldier was a movie. About Sam becoming Captain America to lead the world into a new era, while fighting the Globesmashers, who want to halt that progress. With some stuff cut out like Zemo and the Wakandans. I'd also have more action (cause it's a movie so higher budget) along with the Flagsmashers being treated as less sympathetic because they're still terrorists. At the end, I'd also set up John Walker as having a "redemption arc" later down the line.
WandaVision
It would stay the same as how it was originally.
BlackWidow
A six episode series focusing on Natasha before Endgame. Focusing on diffrent eras of her life, like the Red Room, the Budapest Incident, and some of the events from the Black Widow movie. I'd get rid of the pheromone plot and reveal that Natasha was only in control, just manipulated by Dreykov. Also, Taskmaster will be more comic-accurate, and have more lines.
Shang-Chi
The movie served as a well off origin story, so I'll keep it mainly to how it was. The only change is at the post-credit scene, where Shang-Chi is recruited by Sam to join the new Avengers.
Hawkeye
Following the same plot and story, but with two extra episodes. This will be spent setting up Kingpin more, who will play a major role in the next upcoming seasons. I'd also have Daredevil introduced, still played by Charlie Cox. When Born Again comes around, I want it to be more of a soft-reboot, so this Daredevil will be diffrent from the one in the Netflix show. I really enjoyed how the show ended off and I want to see a new story come into play.
Spider-man: Homefront
So I think this will be controversial but there will be no "No Way Home" in phase 4. It will follow a similar plot but I don't want to introduce the multiverse right away. More focus on Earth 616, with a only a handfull of projects focusing on the Multiverse, until we get to phase 6. Where I can see Tobey and Andrew's Spider-men being, possibly after Doomsday and when everyone is on Battle World.
Spider-man would still be revealed to be Peter Park, and I'd focus more on the toll and affect it has on Peter. The main villain will be Kraven, who tries hunting down Spider-man, seeing him as the greatest catch he can make. Kraven will dismantle Peter's life and even kill Aunt May. Peter wouldn't be stopped, so he'd kill Kraven. Peter realizes what he did and asks Strange to still make everyone forget who Peter Parker was, and what he did.

Ms Marvel - (Series - 6 Episodes)
Fantastic Four: First Steps - (Movie)
Loki - (Series - 8 Episodes)
Thor: The God of Thunder - (Movie)
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - (Movie)
Guardians of the Galaxy: Christmas Special - (Special Presentation
Ms Marvel
Staying basically the same, the only thing I would do is have Damage Control play a bigger role. Because they'll be a major key element when we get to Daredevil and the street level stories. Maybe even throw in a Kingpin appearence.
Fantastic Four: First Steps
With hind-sight, knowing Jonathan Majors will be fired and Dr. Doom becoming the new main villain. It makes sense that the Fantastic Four serve a similar role to Guardians in the Infinity Saga. Disconnected and having multiple movies to set them and Dr. Doom up. I think we should've gotten a Fantastic Four trilogy, and it will still take place on an alternate world.
The movie would stay the same as First Steps, just coming out three years earlier. The only change I'd make it to add Victor Von Doom as a side-character. He isn't Dr Doom yet but he works with Reed Richards. Constantly telling him to give up their child in order to save Earth. When the Fantastic Four defeat Galactus and are celebrated, Doom quits and moves from New York. Vowing that the Fantastic Four will destroy Earth one day.
Loki
Probably my favorite original series to the MCU (not counting Born Again). I would make a few changes however, like the concept of the multiverse. There will be multiple "sacred timelines", like the X-Men, TASM, and other worlds aren't branches, just their own things. I'd also make it so Kang doesn't technically control the multiverse, he's just a super intellegent being who is able to predict what will come next, being tied to it. So when he dies, the branches will emerge and the events for the rest of the Multiverse saga will be layed.
I also added two extra episodes to explore more concepts, because this is the first project exploring the multiverse. One to show us more of how the multiverse works and operates, maybe Mobius and Loki looking for Sylvie. And another to spend more time in the Void, because it was super cool and I wanted to see more of it.
Thor: The God of Thunder
This will be a much diffrent movie than Love and Thunder. Firstly, Jane isn't in it. The main theme I want to explore is Thor's humanity. He's a god, and is practically immortal, so after losing almost every other Avenger, Loki, and Asgard. He's lonely. Maybe we throw in a Hulk cameo to show how much more lost he is than the others.
Then someone steals the hammer from him, another person who is considered worthy. Beta Ray Bill. I'd introduce him in this movie, acting as a rival to Thor, where a lot of the comedy in the movie will come from. They'll fight but then team up to defeat Gorr the God Butcher, who has a larger role in the movie. Actively killing other gods. The end of the movie will have Thor visit Jane in the hospital, to sort of conclude his arc of learning to connect with people again.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
The tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman was upsetting to many people. With this movie sort-of honoring him, so I'm keeping it almost the same as how it is (I don't want to recast him, like others do for these reimaginings of the Multiverse Saga). The only change is cutting out Iron Heart. I don't want to introduce too many new heroes, and I'm most likely gonna cut out her series for phase 5 so why keep her?
Guardians of the Galaxy: Christmas Special
An amazing special for the Guardians. I don't see any need for changing it what so-ever.
2023

Moon Knight - (Series - 6 Episodes)
Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3 (Movie)
Avengers: Secret Invasion (Movie)

Thunderbolts (Series - 8 Episodes)
The Marvels
This movie will more center around Captain Marvel as she tracks down remaining Skrulls on Earth. With Ms Marvel and Photon joining her on her journey. I want to show how Carol is possibly shameful about how she failed to find the Skrulls a home after so long. With the three eventually finding out that the Skrulls are planning to invade Earth. With Carol sacraficing herself in order for the other two to escape. Heading back to earth, while Carol is captured by the Skrulls.
Moon Knight
Yes I do plan on having a season 2 if I continue for Phase 5 and 6. I'd keep the show to how it was because it was really great. With the only change I want to add is that this is set in a diffrent universe than Earth 616. To sort of show how insane Marc is.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3
This is probably one of my favorite MCU movies, so I wouldn't change anything about it.
Avengers: Secret Invasion
To wrap-up Phase 4 together, there will be an Avengers movie. The team line-up is: Sam Wilson, Bucky, Photon, Shang-Chi, Doctor Strange, Kate Bishop, Ms Marvel, Shuri, Hulk, War Machine, Antman, and Wasp. With Thor coming in later as sort of a final blow to the Skrulls.
Ms Marvel and Photon return to Earth and warn the New Avengers about the incoming Invasion. With multiple members already being changed as Skrulls. I don't have a concrete story, someone could probably do better than me, but I want to focus on the thriller and spy of the invasion, with how no one can trust eachother.
Eventually, it's revealed that the humans replaced by Skrulls are kept on a secret prison in Antartica (yes the savage land). Where we learn that they used Captain Marvel's powers to create the Super-Skrull. The team reunites and works together to defeat the Super-Skrull and the rest of the invasion force.
At the end of the movie, many are angry at the New Avengers for their handling of the Invasion. Especially in the government, with Thaddeus Ross and Valentina becoming high-ranking members. With Valentina expressing her want for a team of Avengers that are regulated by the US.
Special Presentation: Hulk
I only added this because I want an adaptation of the Hulk: Gray comic. I think the comic is really good, and it would fit really well with the black and white we saw in Werewolf by Night. Probably set before the first Avengers movie, where Hulk was still seen as a monster.
Thunderbolts
I feel like the Thunderbolts movie fits so much better as a project in phase 4. Like how it's about moving on from the past, and focusing on many of the events from the Infinity Saga just feel like a perfect way to end off Phase 4.
I think it could work better as a series. With how the movie wasn't profitable because a lot of main-stream audiences didn't know a lot of the characters who they were, it could be more popular as a series. I also think if we had more time with the team acting like an actual team, it could become better. Still following the events of the Thunderbolts movie. Episode 1 focusing on Yelena, Episode 2 with the group escaping the facility, Episode 3 - 5 being more fillar, focusing as the team works together on side-missions. Episode 6 having them confront Valentina and Sentry, Episode 7 having them each work on their personal struggles in the void, and Episode 8 having them be revealed as the new team of Avengers.
Final Thoughts
I'd really like to hear people's ideas about my personal version on fixing the Multiverse saga, and what you'd do diffrently than what I did.
