Parry is the true "easy mode"

Discussion & Info

Hello tarnished.

After a few hours across all FS games (about 800 total) i've done most, if all possibles builds across the games but never actually used a shield in any games. Either dual weilding, Weapon + staff or seal or two handed weapon with grass crest on my back. This is the only use i ever had of a shield in FS games.

So i started a fresh save (Well actually 2) with the plan to use a shield during the whole game. With the counter attack from block in ER this sounded cooland easy. But it actually didn't feel so good to play. So i shifted to a buckler parry/misericord build.

And god this feels soooo good i'm addicted. It is waaay stronger than i expected and easier than any STR or INT build i've played so far. (Not talking about super cheese 1 shot builds)

I'll be honest it took a full hour of practice against the first crucible knight in gaol and 30mn of practice against the missbegotten leonine to get used to it.

Then it's a bit like sekiro or even bloodborne when it clicks. I knew i had another dimension to those games opening : Giving Magitt the humiliation Parry god treatment felt so rewarding. Niall who has always been one of my nemesis boss has been a no damage cakewalk. And i still dual weild daggers for when i cant parry big bosses. Maybe i'll find an Ash of war with high poise damage to keep going deeper into this Crit build

Parry feels super good. Is not that hard. And is actually super strong. This is the actual easy mode

If you've never done a full Parry game. It's time to try.
