At my wits end, seeing a doctor tomorrow
I’ve had issues with my sinuses for my whole adult life, with chronic blocked nose and sinus headaches. I tried multiple nose sprays both rx and over the counter, religiously used sinus rinses, and even got steroid shots in my nose which didn’t help. I finally got a septoplasty for my deviated septum and turbinate reduction almost 5 years ago. After the recovery period, it was amazing! I felt like I could finally breathe through my nose!
Over the years, my nose issues have come back in full swing. My ENT who did my surgery retired and I haven’t seen him in a few years. I went to an ENT a few months ago for a really bad sore throat and he noted that my septum was deviated again. He suggested using breathe right strips and they somewhat help but not really, and they feel so uncomfortable and always unstick from my nose in the middle of the night.
I’m so sick and tired of not being able to breathe through my nose properly. I’m constantly holding my breathe to avoid mouth-breathing in front of other people. I have trouble sleeping, and I can’t even kiss my boyfriend without gasping for air.
I’m finally seeing a new ENT tomorrow and I’m so nervous but hoping that they can help give me solutions. Is there anything I should ask them about?
