Newbie. How does this work?

Hey so I’m new to this. Just started with alternaleaf (reading now that may have been a whoopsie).
The dr prescribed me indimed pink kush and the sundaze apple 10:10 edibles for GIT issues and gut pain + anxiety and brain chatter.

I have only ever had street so I have no idea how this system works. If I find the indica to sleepy can I request a sativa based flower instead? I am looking for something to calm but I don’t wanna be a zombie ya know?
