Partner leaking with blood and clear fluid. Doctors can't seem to find the cause? (25 weeks)

Help?

I am a young dad (21M) and my partner (21F) is currently 22 weeks pregnant. From around 8 weeks, she started bleeding and leaking watery fluid that alternated between clear and bright red or pink. By week 12, it turned into an uncontrollable gush of fluid, and when we were in the ER, she was filling up adult diapers about every 4 hours. The on call OB said she had never seen a case like this because heavy bright red bleeding usually indicates a miscarriage, but the baby’s heartbeat remained strong and normal. We stayed in the hospital for a week until the bleeding stopped. She has done multiple tests and she eats healthy, but the tests did show she has a UTI. We have been to the ER three times now and live in a developing country with frustrating medical care. We sought a second opinion and a doctor mentioned it might be placenta previa, but we still do not have a definitive answer.

During that hospital stay, I noticed that the bleeding triggers when she gets heavily stressed or cries. My partner has Bipolar 2, so her emotional shifts are intense, and I do my best to support her through it. She also experiences severe back pain, pelvic pain, and is still currently experiencing morning sickness. Because of the severe physical and emotional effects this pregnancy is having on my partner, we were originally planning to terminate the pregnancy. However, abortion is strictly illegal here, and we along with the OB would genuinely face imprisonment if we went through with it, so that is not an option.

Because of the constant fluid loss, severe pain, and blood, I went into our 22 week anomaly scan expecting severe defects or terrible news. However, to everyone's surprise, the baby is completely normal and the amniotic fluid levels are adequate. We are relieved but still highly stressed. Has anyone else dealt with unexplained heavy bleeding, severe daily pain, and an uncontrollable gush of fluid leaking that seemed to be triggered by emotional stress? How did the rest of your pregnancy go? Tyia
