Personal Finance Eval 23 Years Old
Hi all. Lately, I have been a bit nervous about my financial situation. I am sure I am doing just fine, but I just get anxious about it. Would anybody be able to give me some insight?
23 Y/O, relocated to Phoenix 1.5 years ago after undergrad for a job making roughly 65k a year
BS in Statistics
30k in student loans
19k left in car payment
Total of 13k in my bank account, 2/3 of it being in savings on S&P 500.
Will be starting grad school (Master's in Statistics) in the fall, where I will get a full stipend and pay 8k for the entire program. My dad said it might be a good idea for me to take out some extra loans so I can have my car while I am at school and just live more easily in general. I enjoy traveling and seeing places, so having a car might be nice from that perspective, and being able to go spontaneously whenever I please. Would likely take out a student loan for this if I did it. The campus I am at is in a suburb with not much around it, but there is some transit to get around, and I figure if I want a car to go exploring for a weekend, I could use Turo or something.
Am I in an okay spot? Any advice on how I can set myself up better? Thanks
EDIT: The school I am going to is in Burnaby, BC, a suburb of Vancouver, BC
