Why can’t I see without my glasses but I use my phone and see perfectly fine

So I really don’t know how to word this so ima try my best

If I don’t have my glasses on I can’t see shit, close , far , nothing. literally just shapes and colors. Even when I try to squint, nothing.

When I use my phone to look at something through the camera I can see it perfectly. Regardless of how far it is.

Probably the stupidest question I’ll ever ask in my 24 years on this earth but maybe someone can dumb it down for my smooth brain to understand
