I feel like I'm wasting my time.

Hello! I'm a 25-year-old female working in the corporate world, and I graduated with an engineering degree from a state university. I met my partner, who is now 41, when I was still in senior high school, and we have been together for almost seven years. He helped me finish college, but I ended up choosing him over my family.

Despite our history, I feel like I'm wasting my time because I don't see him as my future husband, nor do I picture growing old with him. There is no third party involved, and he doesn't have any anger management issues; our relationship is just very low-key. However, he doesn't drive me around, pick me up, or take me out on dates. We rarely go out, even though he takes care of everything around the house. I don't know if that should be enough or if I'm just demanding too much.

We are doing okay and we don't really fight, but I just can't see him as my lifetime partner. I don't know how to tell him this. To make matters more difficult, he already wants us to have a baby, but given how I feel, I just think to myself: how can we even do that?
