Why is my typically “don’t touch me” cat meowing at night all of a sudden?

Hi! My female spayed 7 yr old cat has never been a cuddly or vocal cat. Had her since she was a kitten. She’s always been pretty much like “don’t touch me or bother me” and will occasionally show love by laying on you. Though if you move at all she’ll get mad and leave lol. I love her even though she’s not cuddly and she’ll give me slow blinks all the time like she knows that I accept her as she is.

The weird thing is that recently she’s been meowing for the first time ever in the middle of the night? No health issues, and I check on her or talk back to her when she does it. She’ll talk back or give me a rare leg rub but doesn’t want to be pet like usual. Typically she stops after 5-10 minutes. It’s just a weird thing she’s all of a sudden started at 7 yrs old and I don’t know what she wants???? I feel bad like she really wants something and I don’t know what. She has food, water, LOTS of cat trees and beds. She has access to me at all times if she wants me. Idk feel bad that I can’t give her what she wants. 😫
