How is Marriott about negotiating pay rate?

I have an interview for a front desk position at a Delta Marriott. The advertised pay rate for the position is $6.50/hr less than what I currently make. I’m willing to come down to a pay rate that’d be just $3/hr more than the advertised rate. It’s a really tough job market, so I’m worried they’ll deny me the position for asking for a higher rate, but I simply can’t afford to go any lower than that due to healthcare costs.

Is this something they’re typically willing to budge on? It’s a full-time position.
