English: form does not differ from emptiness; emptiness does not differ from form. Form  itself is emptiness; emptiness itself is form. So, too, are feeling, cognition, formation, and consciousness.

**Sắc** **色** **(Form):** Refers to all physical objects, phenomena, thoughts, and the material world.

**Không** **空** **(Emptiness):** Refers to the idea that nothing exists independently. Everything is "empty" of a permanent, separate self because all things rely on changing causes and conditions to exist

The teaching states that material form and ultimate emptiness are not two separate, opposing concepts. **Form is emptiness** means that all physical objects are ever-changing and lack inherent, permanent existence. **Emptiness is form** means that this ultimate, formless nature is precisely what allows all physical, impermanent phenomena to arise and exist in the universe
