Mega Garchomp Competition - Week 23 2026

#Mega Garchomp Competition

AUTOMATION INFO: Check the archived AutoModerator-post for more game resources.

##Competition basics

This is a Ground type competition. Super Effective types you can use against are Water, Grass and Ice.

You have 16 moves to do the highest score you can. Take your time to do the best moves you can! For new players to competitions, it's worth it to do at least one full-item run for getting the Garchompite! Doing an itemless run to study disruptions is also suggested.

  • Mega Start: Grants Mega Evolution starting the stage
  • Disruption Delay: Delays disruptions for half the duration of the stage
  • Attack Power ↑: Attack power gets doubled

##Rewards

  • Players who already have the Garchompite will receive 1 Level Up.

##Starting board and disruptions

Starting board: 4 fixed sets of 2*2 rocks. The preset skyfall is composed of 3 Support Pokemon 1, 2 Support Pokemon 2, 3 Support Pokemon 3 and 4 Support Pokemon 4.

Phase 1: (avoided with DD)

Every 3 moves, use the following disruption:

  • Disruption A: Fill the 4*3 area starting at B1 with 8 rocks.

If Moves ≤ 8, switch to Phase 2.

Phase 2: If combo ≥ 2, do the disruptions in the following order:

  • Disruption B: Fill board with 12 rocks, 2 barriers, 2 Blastoise, 1 Gyarados and 1 Swampert.
  • Disruption C: Fill the 4*2 area starting at B2 with 4 of your Support Pokemons.
  • Disruption D: Fill the 2*4 area starting at C1 with 4 of your Support Pokemons.
  • Disruption E: Fill board with 18 rocks.

After each disruption is used once, switch to Phase 3.

Phase 3: Every 2 moves, use the following disruption:

  • Disruption F: Fill the 2*4 area starting at C1 with 4 of your support Pokemons.

After the disruption is used once, switch to Phase 2.

##Potential megaevolutions

PokemonDescription
Aggron / Tyranitar3 tap mega. Best effect for the competition, good for disruptions and combos
Pinsir / Charizard X (Shiny) / Rayquaza (Shiny) / Camerupt2 tap mega. Good for disruptions and combos
RayquazaRemoves 10 icons that are non-dragon types. Too much rocks to shine and could waste the effect on non-supports
Gyarados (Shiny) / Gengar / Mewtwo X (Shiny)Removes itself. High combo potential, but can't clear bottom-row non-supports. Gyarados (Shiny) is SE

##Final notes

The preferred choice is of course a 3tapper, with Aggron being Neutral. If you lack one of them, fallback to 2 tapper. Otherwise use a SE one, with Gyarados (Shiny) and Gyarados being the best.

Ground stages can be handled with double TC and Kyogre (Primal) is the perfect beatstick since the stage has rocks. Lacking both SE TC, you should rely on a neutral TC and other beatsticks, like Kyogre, Meganium or Ash-Greninja.

Rerun until you get a desirable score! Good luck everyone!
