advice for making friends at 21

hii everyone, I'm transferring HES at UBCO this fall and will be back in year 1, so i'm looking for advice on how to make friends and get connected with everyone. I'm going to be a few years older than what I assume most the people in my year will be. I'm definitely gonna take a look at some clubs but looking for some advice outside of that. I've had some friends at UBCO tell me that it's difficult to meet new people without partying, and well thats not really my thing.
