Sound effects/voice changer in cosplay?
Hello all! I’m considering making a soundwave cosplay from transformers and I have a few ideas that seem fairly plausible.
Seeing as he’s a radio/cassette player, I think it would be so fun to be able to play some audio files from a speaker hidden in the chest. That’s easy enough. But then I got to thinking about setting off those noises while in the cosplay, my phone won’t be easily accessible and possibly unusable with gloves. I was thinking maybe something like a stream deck mounted in the arm would make for a cool button->noise controller. Upon research, those are expensive 😅 any ideas for alternatives?
Also, I was considering having one of the buttons toggle a voice changer. Obviously I’d need to buy a mic and install it in the helmet, but what else would I need to get to make that work? I don’t think I want to try to make a whole laptop fit in the cosplay and the most complicated thing I know about arduinos or raspberry pi’s is turning lights on and off.
Open to all advice!
