when were you able to return to usual every day activities?

i’m going on day 4 post op. my boyfriend wants to take me out for ice cream and to see a movie tomorrow, just to get out of the house for a few hours. to be honest i’ve been really bored and lonely the last few days and as much as i would love to go out with him, i’m a bit worried that it may hinder the healing process.

i know i should avoid any strenuous activities for at least a week or so (i took off of work for 2 weeks so i could recover), but would it be alright if i go out for a few hours? when were you guys able to leave home?
