Be aware of this scam!

I recently booked and paid for a hotel through booking. After a few days I received a WhatsApp message claiming to be from the hotel management. What concerns me is that the sender had all my reservation details: my full name, hotel name, booking number, and stay information. They sent a very official message instructing me to open a link for a “verification process” and enter my card details, claiming that a temporary amount could be blocked on my card. If I wont do that the reservation will be cancelled.The fact that the scammers had access to my booking information makes this much more serious than a random scam message.
i did not enter any card details or open the link but I find it alarming that someone had access to such specific reservation data. At this point, I have lost confidence in the security of the platform and will lavoid using booking in the future.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Where should I report this besides booking?Should this be reported to a data protection authority or another cybersecurity agency?
