Where to learn about Aboriginal culture, through physical spaces, people, etc.

Hi, I am writing from Bidjigal, Birrabiragal, and Gadigal land. So lately I was doing some public history research as part of my university degree. I had to do some writing, so one of the topics explored was Aboriginal history around my area (Eastern Sydney).

It made me reflect on the sheer dearth of attention paid to Aboriginal history during my years of schooling (2002-2014). It is sad that it was such a thoroughly under-represented area of attention during schooling.

I am unaware of curriculum changes now, I think it is a bit more different. But in my case, I wanted to know what is the best way to connect with Aboriginal history/culture in physical spaces, around Sydney/East area?

Is it museums? Is it talking to people? Are there some great organisations or similar that have spaces to learn?

Apologies if there is a simple answer, if it is talking to people then I would not know where to go. I am keen to hear what others suggest, admittedly I have not researched this much myself as of yet, so am interested to hear what people here would say.
