Lampeye killifish aggression

I’m wondering if anyone has observed this before. They are fighting 24/7, every second, and when one chases another away they don’t just hide away but only sort of U-turns back to go chase another one. They have never used the plants as hiding spots. I would think this uses up tremendous energy.
