Maths Placement for 2026

HI Guys there is huge update on the Maths placement test for Class of 2030. There is a new format introduced.

Your placement now relies on a Summer Predicted Score (T) and an In-Person Marhaba Grade (G). NYUAD has introduced a penalty/bonus formula to reward honest self-assessment. Your Final Placement Score (S) is calculated using K: 5 as a base bonus:

• If you underestimate your score (T <G): S = G + K - (G - T)/2
• If you overestimate your score (T > G): S = G + K - (T - G)

The Strategy: Do not try to game the system. Overestimating carries a heavy penalty that can severely tank your placement. Take practice exams under true exam conditions to make T as close to G as humanly possible.
