Should I leave public accounting after 7 years for a Tax Manager role at a private wealth RIA?

Just wanted some input/thoughts - been in public accounting for 7 years, almost 5 of those as a Senior at a top 10 firm. I have my EA and I'm close to finishing my CPA. (couldn't be promoted to manager because I didn't have at least my EA yet, I got it this year). Got a Tax Manager offer from well-known RIA firm in California.

For those who've made the jump from public to private wealth, was it worth it? Going from public to private, did it actually change your day-to-day as much as you'd expect?

Any thoughts are appreciated!
