Those who achieved big goals: How did you stay consistent on bad days?
People who have successfully achieved something valuable in life whether it was cracking a competitive exam, building a great physique, starting a business, or achieving a major goal. I have a question for you.
Do you struggle with perfectionism?
I noticed something about myself. I spend a lot of time making the "perfect" schedule, the "perfect" timetable, and planning everything perfectly. I study a lot, but the moment something goes wrong, a bad day, an unexpected event, low motivation, or I miss a task—I feel like the entire day is ruined.
Then I end up quitting everything for that day. No studying, no gym, nothing.
It's like my brain says, "If the day can't be perfect, then don't do it at all."
I know this mindset is hurting me, but I don't know how to get rid of it.
For those who have actually achieved difficult goals, how did you overcome perfectionism? What helped you stop caring about perfect days?
And in the long run, what matters more: having perfect days or being consistently average but showing up every single day?
Would love to hear your experiences and advice.
