I didn't make money

Didn't chase prestige

Didn't serve any clique

Didn't pretend to be good

Didn't do a lot you say I should've done

I did study my craft every time I used it

I did respect the culture

I did share freely of what I knew

I did help the young

I worked the shifts

Now I don't have a bank balance

I have some friends

A wife and kid

Means to survive

So am I validated?
