Traveling back to Canada while waiting for FD (Outland)

🇨🇦 CEC

Hi everyone,

My friend just told me that they have an extra world cup ticket for next month and I am slightly concerned about going back to Canada while I am waiting for my final decision. I am a CEC Outland applicant with AOR of Jan 14 (but my pvo is ottawa rip). I am from the US so I don’t need a visa to go to Canada to visit but this whole
process has made me so paranoid.

Firstly, if I go back before getting FD, do I need to send a webform to let IRCC know I’ve traveled to Canada from my home country? What would I include—a LOE and a copy of my tickets? I was thinking of arriving beginning of July and staying until mid-August as I have a wedding to attend.

Secondly, if a final decision/PPR comes through while I’m in Canada, would I have to go back to the US to send my passport? Or could I actually submit it for stamping from within Canada as an Outland applicant? If I am allowed to do that, would I have to then cross a border to like initiate that once getting the passport or could I just stay in Canada?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!!
