Duck deterrents?

Curious if anyone has had any luck getting rid of local ducks. We live in a complex with a lot of water features and have always had a handful of ducks around which had never really caused problems. This year, they had babies. It was cute at first, but now we have a couple dozen ducks roaming around every day and they are pooping EVERYWHERE. They poop in the pool so much we've had to close it 3 times now.

There have been a variety of suggestions from fake birds of prey to real ones to alligator floaties.

Has anyone tried anything that's worked especially well?
