Being eco-friendly?
How do you guys manage it?
I will use AI as the example because it is one of the conundrums I face. Using AI is SO helpful, especially when I need to tweak a recipe or get a quick answer about something. (The credibility and reliability is a problem, but a separate one that is not the focus of this post.) It already takes me 300 hours to do 1 task, and AI helps speed it up. But, I care about the oceans/water waste and don't want to use AI.
One of my goals in life is to be okay with grey area (in my day to day life), so I feel like using AI for my recipes and some work related admin is okay, but that's the limit. All other research, etc. Should not use AI. Okay, cool. Decent enough plan.
Now, we come to the memory obstacle in the game of life. I FORGET my resolve and remember what I decided during or after I already started using AI. Printing out pictures of marine life and putting them where I can see them or putting them as phone wallpapers don't work. Rubberbands on the wrist don't work. My brain quickly tunes out visual and auditory cues (like alarms) out. What other hacks can I try?
I'm out here trying to live according to my values, but it's hard when you are impulsive, forgetful, and get overstimulated over the smallest, dumbest things.
What do you guys do?
