Monitor Electricity Consuption

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently moved into my new house. At the moment I don’t have any smart home devices, but I’d like to start adding them gradually.

One of the first things I’d like to do (and it’s almost a priority) is monitor my household electricity consumption (230V AC).

My goal is to build up a history of energy usage so I can identify what’s using the most power, see which times of day I consume the most electricity, and compare the data with my utility bills.

I’m also planning to install solar panels in the future, but before doing that I’d like to get a clear picture of my annual energy consumption.

I’m about to get an internet connection installed, and I’m looking for something affordable and easy to set up, especially on the software side. Being able to check the data remotely when I’m away from home would be great, but it’s not essential.
