Should I take the job?

I recently was offered a job that pays 20k more a year and I’m not sure if I should take it or not. I work the adult side of protective services and absolutely love my job and the population I work with. The job is in another county and is for the child side. I currently WFH and have times I have to be out in the field but it’s on my own time as long as it gets done. My boss is not a micro manager and appreciates the work I do, always gives me time off if I need it. I’m also one of the few who do what I do in my state government. I’m allowed OT but I have to “flex it” meaning I have to leave early other days.

The new job requires 8-5 m-f in office with OT required since I have to drive long distances in a government car. OT is offered after 8 hours in a day. They will pay for my masters after 9 months given I work for them to repay my time. The MSW is something I plan to do either way if I stay at my current job or not. This position also gets 3% COLA every year and spot bonuses where my current position I haven’t gotten a raise in 3 years. My health insurance will also drop to a HMO from a PPO with the new job. My pension contribution is the same 13% and my PSLF would not change since I am working for the government.

The real sticky is: my husband is a cop. He works set hours out of home. We have 3 kiddos, 2 under 3 years and require daycare. Daycare is $1500/month for both full time.

I have been wracking my brain for weeks about this and my tentative start date is in November.

Should I take the job?
