I've spent the majority of the weekend dealing with disgusting comments and messages about my son going to Pride and his appearance. I have blocked and deleted all of them, but I have compiled a few here to make a point. This is how trans people are treated online. This is why we still need pride. Yes, I hid the identity of those disgusting people. Hate does not solve hate. Apparently, my post was shared to a private group of people who use their time to harass women and minorities. My post was captioned with a desire for everyone in the group to go straighten me out. Lovely, huh? This is not just about one group of people against another. This is not just about beliefs. This is how people are speaking to my son and I. We are not affecting their lives at all, and yet they're angry. I literally don't understand how people can enjoy behaving this way, feeling this way, reacting to people in this way. I would rather feel love, share love, be love. ❤️

There are a bunch of photos of comments on this post that didn’t copy. But this must be a separate group as I don’t see any of these comments here. It shows that she seeks out these groups, copied content to her page, probably to garner sympathy. I agree that people shouldn’t threaten her or her family, but if she hadn’t shared any of this, she wouldn’t have needed to deal with it. If she wasn’t looking for these sites, she also wouldn’t need to deal.
