Hi everyone, It’s my first time posting on this sub and I’ve been clean for  a few days and I’m really happy about it! However, my family and I are going to the beach this summer, and I’m terrified of  anyone seeing my scars. Does anyone have any advice on how to hide scars on the thigh area (the one in the picture is the left-hand one) while at the beach or swimming? Just a heads up, I won't be using makeup because the scars are too thick  for makeup to cover them up!! Any swimwear ideas, or strategies to hide them or even get rid of them easily that worked for you would really help me out because I'm feeling pretty lost on what to do (I don’t actually have to go swimming if I choose not to, but I feel really bad that I can’t even wear  shorts). Where my most prominent scar is (it’s circled in the picture) , I had a slight relapse where I cut a bit too deep (I think?). I saw bloody "fibers" in the wound, got extremely dizzy and nauseous ( I did end up vomiting on the bathroom floor..), and almost passed out from the bleeding. I tried squeezing my wound close and there were bloody fibers that were on my fingers because i squeezed the wound together of course, put all my strength together, and looked for a medkit (I didn't  find one, so I put a pad onto the wound  and improved it with tape later on because I noticed my vision going black, and I was really sweating, and I know it sounds really weird probably, but at the end, it was my only option). Since I'm posting here anyway, does anyone know what those fibers might have been?

Lastly, I was wondering what type of scars these are. I really feel like im not valid because they’re not that deep and some my old scars are FINALLY fainting and turning skin-colored after a year. But the main one from that  relapse is still quite raised and bright pink or purple(a month ago, it healed kinda fast somehow and I also had some trouble walking because it hurt whenever I took a step  but now its gone). Does this sound like hypertrophic scarring, and do they eventually flatten out (like is it styro, etc..?)Thank you so much to anyone who reads this or has any advice to share !! :P
