Cognitive issues

Has anyone with Chiari I malformation experienced cognitive symptoms like brain fog, trouble concentrating, slower thinking, or difficulty finding/recalling words during conversations?

My MRI shows a 14 mm tonsillar herniation with reduced posterior CSF flow, but I haven’t had decompression surgery. The cognitive symptoms are some of the most frustrating for me, even more than the physical symptoms at times.

For those who had decompression surgery, did these types of symptoms improve afterward? If so, how much improvement did you notice, and how long did it take?
