Need some guidance

So i was recently gifted a full surround sound setup minus the reciever and i was planning on using my best buy credit card. Budget is 1k or below (not against open box or refurbished) and was hoping to get a somewhat future proof 7.2 reciever so that when i decide to upgrade my speakers i have a more than capable reciever to run all of it.
