44 [M4F] #losangeles “Old-Fashioned” both in style and drink choice

Hi, 44 y/o married dad in the San Fernando Valley here, tall, rugged, mustached. I was looking at my account history and I saw a draft of a post from age 40 and I realized “damn, I’m back here again.”

Is it mid-life crisis? I guess if I lived to 88 perhaps.

I’ve been spending the last 10 years focusing on being the best dad I can be and finding hobbies to replace the void created by married life.

It all seems to work for a brief amount of time, but then I end up scrolling back here, thinking I’ll find the answer.

Maybe it’s here somewhere. A few false starts made me think it could be. You get a bit of effortless conversation that lasts for a little while sometimes.

I spend my days collecting vinyl and listening to my record player, reading books that I then gift to friends because I have too many, taking walks with my camera and looking for intriguing street art, watching old horror movies on Tubi, and mixing the occasional Old Fashioned.

A great sense of humor is always at the top of my “who’s your type?” list. It feels like everything else kind of falls in line from there.
