24 hour difference between move out and in dates (need help)

I am student and will be moving into a new property on the 1st of July however my current landlord wants us out on the last day of the tenancy which is the 30th of June and this creates a couple problems as we wont get the keys to the new place until most likely midday on July 1st.

What can I realistically do regarding this situation, is it unwise to just stay the extra night and piss off the landlord as theres not really any other options I have, as none of me or my flatmates can rent a vehicle and my parents aren’t able to help due to work.
