Are there recent HEB Pharmacy policy changes?

Product Question

Recently I was diagnosed with ADHD, I went to HEB to pick up my prescription and was told there I was denied. I see my doctor via telehealth, so I’ve never seen them in person, and they are in the same state just in a different city.
Due to the doctor being in another city, they denied the fill. Then proceeded to say it’s policy that they don’t fill telehealth prescriptions for controlled substances.
However, my brother who lives with me has done the exact same thing and has had no problems getting his prescription filled. Granted he started his health journey about 6months ago.

So I’m wondering if people are now having issues, was there a recent policy change?

I argued back and forth with the pharmacist on when such policy changes happened because they tried to make it seem like it was something they’ve been doing for awhile. When I even had mentioned that my brother has had no problems then they started to back peddle and then say he’s irrelevant when he said he’s happy to give them his information.

At this point I’m ready to just forgo treatment and carry on. I felt like I was being treated like an addict and was doing something shameful.

So just want to know if anyone else is running into the same issues.
