I don’t feel comfortable with people reading my fics through automatic translators

I quite often get comments that make it clear people have read my work in translation, probably through a browser extension. I am really not comfortable with this for a number of reasons.

1. Translators are still awful at getting across both the meaning and vibe of a piece simultaneously. This is still the sort of work that requires a human mind for it to be anywhere close to the original text. Honestly this concerns me that people would be reading things linked to my name that I have not written myself. It can be as egregious as shifting the meaning entirely.

2. Some translator extensions have been linked to scraping data for AI. Obvs I’m against that on artistic grounds.

3. The use of automatic translators is generally anti art. The act of translation itself is an art form, and to take that away and give it to machine greatly undermines the artistic process both of writing and translation.

Am i being unreasonable to take this stance? I write in both eng/fr and have had comments that would imply use of a translator tool on both
