AIO over what he said to me
Guy i’m dating seperated from him wife over a year ago and is currently going through a divorce. Mutual friend set us up after he kept asking after me, they convinced me to go on a date with him. Told me he sees the divorce as a normal break.
All that to say, the last 2 months have been great. We get on better than I thought. Then he got a letter from her solicitor. He said he needed some time to process how he was going to handle it, not to take the space personally, he didn’t want me to see this side of him.
I was a bit taken aback, I think the reality of him going through a divorce kind of hit me. I was supportive, said I understood. Next morning he claims he’s now all good…
However as the week progresses he begins to act a bit distant. We’ve made plans to see each other everytime we’ve parted ways. This time he says nothing. Weekend is coming up so I ask if we’re going to see each other at some point.
At first he’s like sorry i’m busy i’m doing xyz. If it were me turning down plans i’d say i’m busy but i’m free next week and would like to see you etc. Yet he doesn’t… so I said i’m getting the vibe he’s maybe losing interest (big mistake I know but i’m trying to be vulnerable and communicate instead of jump to conclusions and runaway.)
He then bites my head off! And says oh so because i’m busy you get the vibe i’m losing interest, i’m not doing this everytime i’m busy…
I think this is honestly quite rude and fair enough for me to check in early on in dating if someone is still happy with how things are going… Is that just not common sense!?
