SRx Just Bought 4.99% of SmartKem (SMTK) Strategic Move or Something Bigger Brewing? 👀

Interesting move today.
SRx Health Solutions (SRXH) just announced they acquired 4.99% of SmartKem (NASDAQ: SMTK) and also picked up convertible preferred securities through a private placement.

What caught my attention isn’t just the stake itself, it’s the timing and structure.

A few things that stand out:
4.99% is very specific (often keeps ownership below certain reporting/control thresholds).
They didn’t stop at common shares , they also added convertible preferreds, which could mean potential for more exposure later depending on terms.
SRx is also in the middle of a merger agreement involving EMJ Crypto Technologies, which adds another layer to the story.

Question is…
Is this just a strategic investment into SmartKem’s advanced materials business, or could this be the start of something larger?
Curious what everyone thinks:
Bullish signal?
Treasury/diversification play?
Reverse merger/speculation fuel?
Or just another headline that sounds bigger than it is?
