New hire / picking up a second department #coach's #O/N #stocking #maintenance

Sup guys, I’m a super new re-hire. I literally just had orientation, but does anyone know if it’s possible to pick up extra hours or get cross-trained in a second department?

I’m doing O/N stocking, but I’d also be interested in O/N maintenance. 16–24 hours isn’t really going to cut it for me, so I wanted to get an idea if this is something that can even be done before asking my coach.

Also, does the O/N coach usually oversee maintenance too, or is maintenance under a different manager/TL?

The reason I’m asking is because they show 4 O/N maintenance positions available, which seems like quite a lot for only 7 days in a week. I know every store is different, but I would think one person (me) could cover the 10–7 shift by myself.
