Amex BA Companion Voucher - Inbound Seats

I have just booked and used my Amex BA CV for 2 Club seats LHR-YVR one way for May ‘27.

I’m now wanting to be sure that getting the return seats is still as easy as I’ve read in the posts albeit the posts are now over a year old that I’ve seen.

I know I can call the BA Exec team in the USA at 1am GMT but I’ve just worked out I have enough Avios points to buy our return seats.

Do both options still work? and which would you go for given the choice?

- call BA in USA/Canada at 1am
- book inbound seats at 1am with points outright and call UK BA Exec club that same day when they open

Thanks
