Why people act weird or condescending when you say that you are flawed/hopeless?
It caught my attention that whenever I say something like "yeah I think there's no hope for me" in a nonchalant way, people instantly are like "nooo don't say that! you just got to keep trying/pushing forward/praying" or things of that sort.
I mean, I know the underlying intention is good, but my point is... why is it so demonized to believe that, for some some of us, life is not going to get better? I find myself more at peace now that I've come to terms with that fact. I think that I would be way more miserable if I had kept clinging to the hope that good things will come my way. Also, some of us are simple way too flawed and awkward to "fit in" or to have nice expectations. It's not even self-deprecating, it's... the objective thruth. After years, or even decades of not being able to function properly, it just becomes a matter of fact. And personally I think it is healthier to accept it.
Maybe it has to do with that fake optimistic, wholesome mindset that nowadays we are all forced to have? What do you think?
