**Hey, June 🪲**

*Don’t make it bad*

*Take the \[past month\] and make it better*

*Remember to let \[this post\] into your heart*

*Then you can start*

*To make it*

*Better*

(loosely quoted from J. Paul 'Macca' McCartney's song Hey Jude, written in June 1968)

**What we did last month: 🤗**

**1. We received playtesting feedback & implemented it! 🔧**

We sent out some demo keys and quickly received **4.7 hours of playtesting footage** with audio commentary/feedback from 3 different playtesters this month (🤯). Because they all tested out *everything* one can do in the demo (and therefore generated superb feedback), the feedback implementation and fixing took veeery long (4 weeks 🥵). **BUT** it fixed stuff like:

* Left and right clicking wasn’t distinguished in a understandable way. Now left clicking means: use, right clicking means: interact.
* Harvesting plants in raised beds didn’t delete their internal save. When picking up the raised bed and replanting it the harvested plant still existed.
* Plants didn’t indicate if they are in reach of an Olla/sprinkler before placing. Now they do!
* There was no interact priority leading to overwatering plants while refilling an Olla (when hovering over both at the same time). Now plants always have priority, which means: you cannot place or pick up an object, refill an Olla, or seed when the plant UI is showing (this may lead to workarounds in the future lol).

**2. We added some of the last missing ingame assets! 🎨**

Some ingame assets like the Potion Crafting Desk or the Sleep Capsule were still prototypical up until now and got their final visuals. Watering Cans and Ollas got different sprites for their different item tiers, Marker Items and Essences got some polish, and the garden debris got its own visuals (borrowed the art from the decorative limestone slabs before that).

**And what are we currently working on? 🤔**

**1. We are working on our next demo beta build! 🏗️**

We have the next 4 waves of playtesters already filled, therefore we want to get the next demo build ready soon. If you want to be part of any playtesting wave before the game’s demo release at the end of the year, consider [joining our Discord](https://discord.com/invite/yGVecqscwf)! 😊

**2. We’re polishing demo-relevant UI assets! 🖌️**

The demo is almost done but there are still some UIs (e.g. the advanced plant UI, wiki panel, questlog, basic plant UI, olla UI) that need at least a small coat of polish to be done. After that we’ll be switching back to the full game production (from the current demo production) in a couple of weeks.

**And that’s it already for this month! 😊**

If you would like to playtest our game before its (demo) release to give us feedback, you should consider [JOINING OUR DISCORD SERVER](https://discord.com/invite/yGVecqscwf) so you do not miss the start of our beta playtesting program in the next couple of weeks!!! 😇

Enjoy the time that you have,

xoxo Go-Kart Lembas-Bread
