Teamwork Score Solo Contract

I haven’t done a solo contract in a bit, and given that today’s weekly is solo, it seemed appropriate to ask. Do solo contracts penalize teamwork scores if you don’t use teamwork artifacts like Deflectors and Ships in a Bottle? Obviously there’s not anybody to exchange tokens with, so those artifacts works be the only way to affect a teamwork score, but I’m not sure how the score weights work, so I’m conflicted as to whether I should ignore those items and maximize production.
