We complain about the leaders day and night.... yet don't do anything to reform ourselves?

Reminder

We spend much of our time complaining about the condition of the Ummah and criticizing its leaders, yet we often forget that these leaders come from among the people themselves. The corruption, weakness, division, and confusion present in leadership do not appear out of nowhere.

Rather, they are a reflection of the condition of the society beneath them. If we truly desire change for the Ummah, then reform cannot begin merely with slogans, outrage, or endless discussion about rulers and politics. It must begin with ourselves.

The real revival of this Ummah starts with returning to correct Tawhid, sound ‘Aqidah, sincerity in worship, and adherence to the Qur’an and Sunnah upon the understanding of the Salaf. A person who neglects his prayers, falls short in seeking knowledge, abandons purification of the heart, and is distant from the Book of Allah cannot expect the Ummah to suddenly become strong through politics.

Foundations come before victory. Knowledge comes before speech and action. When individuals rectify themselves, their families improve; when families improve, communities improve; and when communities improve, Allah brings about leaders befitting them.

Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves. So let us begin with repentance, seeking knowledge, correcting our worship, and holding firmly to Tawhid and the Sunnah. This is the path of true rectification and lasting honor for the Ummah.
