Hey guys so I’ve never done this before but I’m hoping for some advice. This January my car was totaled my a kid not paying attention to the road in the snow… go figure. I waited and got the crash report where he admitted to the police that it was his fault and I give him credit for being honest…BUT here’s the thing the insurance he had was non existent accrording to progressive and come to find out the car was not even registered in his name but his parents. Go ask him for a copy of his insurance his mom said I could get it from the police. (She put her son in the car and locked the door and refused to let him talk to me) I’m now owe 10,000 for said car cause it was leased. Is there anything legally I can do? We live in a no fault state and because I only had coverage on the car not collision my insurance only paid out the lowest they wanted to.
